An "As I Am" Photoshoot allows you to confront any misconceptions you may have about yourself. To showcase your personality. To see yourself in profoundly humbling and fabulous ways. It's a chance to give yourself that much-needed reminder to love yourself with kind and gracious eyes. It's so much more than beautiful photographs. It's seeing yourself the way your partner, your children, your best friend sees you everyday. The beauty that is YOU, just as you are.
Shot exclusively in black and white, this experience is designed to capture the depth of your character, the wisdom in your eyes, and the stories etched into your soul. The purpose of this project is to capture beautiful images while collecting the amazing stories of local women. By participating in this project, we ask that you be excited about The Brava Studio sharing your images and story on social media platforms. There will be an annual gallery showcase and celebration gala upon completion of this project of which, your images and story will be showcased. You must be comfortable with video footage taken either behind the scenes, during your photoshoot and/or as an interview after. Your photoshoot will be custom designed around your personality and comfortability. You may choose a limited number of images from your gallery to remain private should you choose.

Space is limited to only 50 women per project. I would love for you to be one of them! The 'As I Am' Project runs semi-annually with a Showcase Celebration Gala in the fall for all those who participated. Spring client photoshoots are scheduled January - April and summer client photoshoots are scheduled May - September.
How many women are participating?
Any women who is ready to feel "seen" is encouraged to participate. We would love to showcase women of every age who long to love their 'everyday' self, as the woman they are. Sharing your story, your dreams, and your ambitions not only allows you to reconnect with your first love (yourself) but to inspire other women to grant themselves the opportunity to see their own confident, silly, powerful and fabulous selves!

Great question! We completely understand that a boudoir photoshoot can be intimidating...to say the least. A boudoir photoshoot is all about photographing your most intimate self in a way that allows you to love and appreciate the body your have today. These custom designed shoots focus on your sensual and feminine side. It's a more private and intimate experience. An 'As I Am' Photoshoot is much more relaxed; a more candid and carefree look. No professional hair or makeup is included as we ask women to join us "as they are" on an everyday basis. We photograph 3 different yet simple looks while blasting your favorite playlist and pretty much laughing our way through 60 minutes of time together. There's no Photoshop editing to final images and everything is delivered in Black & White only.
What's the difference between this and a boudoir shoot?
Photographing women is not just a passion, I feel as though it's my responsibility. Everyone deserves to exist in photos at EVERY stage of their life. I want these images to serve as a reminder that YOU matter. To immortalize this moment and everything you are feeling about yourself today so your future self can reflect on how mesmerizing you truly were.

What led you to create this?
It's our way of honoring every amazing woman that participated in this project! You'll receive 2 complementary tickets so bring your bestie and enjoy an evening of cocktails, appetizers, raffles and giveaways, music and dancing with other fantastic women just like you! Each woman will be individually featured with your favorite image on display. Planning a gals night out isn't always easy so we'll take care of all the fun details making this night out one you won't soon forget!
